On Tuesday 29 July, some of our students were fortunate to attend the recent Port of Brisbane Careers Day, diving into the dynamic world of maritime industries. The day was packed with opportunities to see behind the scenes — from learning how enormous cargo ships are operated and unloaded, to understanding the precision and planning involved in cargo handling and logistics.

They also discovered a wide range of exciting career options, spanning engineering, business administration, and more. Hands-on activities helped students connect classroom learning to real-world skills, while conversations with industry professionals offered valuable insights into life at the port.

For many, the experience opened their eyes to career paths they might never have considered — sparking curiosity and inspiration for the future.
