Throughout August our senior students have exciting career exploration opportunities coming up that will give them insight into different pathways.

Port of Brisbane Visit - Students will be visiting the Port of Brisbane to explore the diverse career pathways available in the maritime industry.  The excursion will showcase the various roles that keep our port operations running smoothly, from logistics and shipping coordination to marine engineering and port management.

Flight Centre Experience – Our senior students will also visit Flight Centre to learn about careers in tourism and aviation.  This visit will highlight the exciting opportunities available in travel planning, customer service, aviation operations and global tourism.  Students will participate in hands on challenges and hear directly from industry professionals

Keynote Speaker – On Tuesday August 12, Year 12 students will listen to Alana Kilmartin from Unserious Careers.  Alana will share her career story and inspire students to expand their career ideas.  Topics that might be covered:

• Removing the pressure to figure out your entire career by the time you leave school. 
• Why you can't fail at your career in the first five years (aka the Casual Jog Years).
• Building a strong Career Support Team.
• Everyone has at least one Career Superpower: which one is yours?
• Your career is only one part of your life. What other goals would you like to kick after school?

These experiences are part of our ongoing commitment to providing senior students with real-world exposure to career opportunities and helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways.
