Student Achievements
Public Speaking Competition
The speakers showed many strengths both in writing and presenting – using humour, anecdote, facts, and strong performances. Eve’s speech was thought provoking and her delivery – all memorised – was seamless. The adjudicator appreciated the insightful and humorous analogy Eve provided about life as a swimming race – and everyone making a choice on their swimming style – from freestyle to dog paddle.
Congratulations Eve! The finals round will be held in August.

Rugby 7s National Championships
While the team will not tour, Madison has been invited to a national training camp in Northern NSW in September as a member of the Australian team.
This is a fantastic achievement, and we wish Madison all the best in her future sporting endeavours.
Headspace Art Expo 29th June, Redlands Museum
The Headspace Art Expo was held on June 29th at the Redlands Museum, showcasing a diverse range of artworks created in Semester 1 by high-achieving Visual Art students from all year levels. Among the exhibitors were Year 8 sisters Sophie and Rowan, who both displayed and successfully sold their original pieces.
A highlight of the event was Year 9 student Alexandra P's artwork Suspended Realities, which earned the YPAC Choice Award—an honor presented by the Headspace Capalaba Young Person Advisory Committee. In addition to her award, Alexandra’s piece was also purchased by a member of the public. Other artworks sold included Muse by Rowan and Drumstick Icecream by Sophie.
