While Mrs Isles is on leave, I will be the Acting HoD of Humanities and Languages at Wynnum SHS.  I am already very impressed by our Humanities and Languages students’ engagement in class activities, their dedication to their assessment tasks and their active interest in the world around them.

UQ Ancient History Experience Day

Year 10, 11, and 12 Ancient History students from Wynnum State High School had a fantastic time at the UQ Ancient History Experience Day, immersing themselves in the daily life, artifacts, and languages of Ancient Greece and Rome. From deciphering Latin inscriptions to examining real archaeological objects, the students finished the day inspired, curious and buzzing with historical insight.

Movie World

Our Year 11 Business and Tourism students had a great day of learning and fun at Movie World recently.  Movie World staff delivered a very informative and interesting presentation about marketing.  Students then had time to explore the venue to see how their classroom learning applies to a real-life tourist attraction.
